Although I’m a wedding photographer, I’ve been in your shoes.

When I got married in 2004, my experience in photography was as a photojournalist.  Although we spent close to $20,000.00 on our wedding, and we do not have photos, or an album, that will take us back to that day, that could compare to the least of the packages that I offer on my website.

To make a long story short, it was all about the money, not about us.
Like you, I knew nothing about wedding photography. All I knew was that we needed a professional photographer. Your wedding day is more than a technically correct photograph. It is an event that you have sacrificed for to make your dream a reality. A day you’ve worked hard to make a reality, and in the blink of an eye it comes and goes without remembering most of it. That’s my job, to capture and preserve that day so that you and your family can relish it forever.

My wife is Jamaican, and we got married in Jamaica, at the Ritz Carlton, 5 Stars!!  The night before our wedding day, the power went out in Spot Valley where my wife mother live, (where she was preparing at) and came back on 10am the day of the wedding.
My wife was 2hrs late because of this, the photography part of our package was for 5hrs. We got 3hrs of coverage.  Was the photographer wrong, no!  but as a wedding photographer, was he right, NO!!

As a professional, Yes we do have to make money, but a true wedding photographer is a breed apart.  Your wedding day is not just another job, for a true wedding photographer, its an honor bestowed upon them by you.  Documenting a wedding is a great responsibility few couples and photographers understand.

Right now all you know is, that you need a professional photographer to cover your wedding.   It do not matter if you have all the money in the world, or that you are counting pennies to make your wedding day dream come true.   What matters is, you hire someone who cares.  And that is something money can’t but you.

I tell prospective clients to think beyond the wedding day, what pictures do you envision in your home, maybe a 16×20 or 11×14 for the wall, some 8x10s and 5×7 for table top, shelves and counters.  One of my very first memory is of a 5×7 of my mother and father when they got married, and although they aged, that picture never did.  They are gone now, and although my children are too young to remember them, they know where they got they’re good looks from, because of that picture.

Your wedding comprises more than a few pictures, its a special day, a one time deal that you will be investing a lot of time and money into.  The Wedding album/book is the most expensive part of any package.   This book should display the spirit, the emotions and uniqueness of your wedding day.  Your wedding album is not just a treasury, for you, but an heirloom to be passed down through the generations.

I offer very affordable solutions to preserving your wedding day, so that each moment can be revisited again and again.  Your children and grand children will be able to relive that day and revel in the spirit and emotions of your wedding day, as if they themselves were there.

The person you choose to preserve these memories is a very important one, and staying within your budget is a controlling part of that decision.
